The Raspberry Pi Sense HAT Rev.2 is an official Raspberry Pi add-on board designed to add a wide range of environmental, motion and orientation sensing capabilities to your Raspberry Pi.

The board features multiple integrated sensors for measuring temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, colour, brightness, acceleration, rotation and magnetic field. An integrated 8 × 8 RGB LED matrix provides an easy way to display sensor readings, graphics and status information, while the built-in five-button joystick enables direct user interaction.

Sense HAT was originally developed for the Astro Pi programme, which brought Raspberry Pi hardware to the International Space Station. It is an excellent choice for education, environmental monitoring, data logging, robotics, IoT, motion detection and experimental projects.

The Sense HAT connects directly to the Raspberry Pi's 40-pin GPIO header and is powered by the Raspberry Pi itself. An officially supported Python library provides easy access to the sensors, LED matrix and joystick.
